Colossians 1:28
“…to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ.”

The mission of Calvary Bible Fellowship is "to know Christ and to make Him known." This is our passion and drive. As a congregation, we strive to faithfully study and preach the Scriptures (which is God's revelation to us) to draw closer to Him in an intimate way. In addition, we also seek to spread this joy of knowing God through Christ with others.

We are committed to faithful teaching and preaching of the Word of God. We promote expository preaching, biblical accountability, and biblical discipleship. We also believe that God has given all members of the body of Christ special/spiritual gifts (1 Peter 4:10). We believe these gifts are common property of the church and should therefore be used to edify and serve the church of God.

It is man's chief purpose "to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever." This means we are to live in a manner pleasing to God. The Scriptures tell us that without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).

Therefore, we desire to live a life of faith in God which produces a life of faithfulness to God. In addition, we believe that "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." Hence, we seek to find our joy and rest in God.

WE BELIEVE…

...in the inspiration, authority, and sufficiency of the Bible.

...in the absolute sovereignty of the one, living, true, perfect, eternal and Triune God.

...in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His death on our behalf, and His physical resurrection from the grave.

... that Christ ascended into heaven where He is now exalted at the right hand of God the Father as our Great High Priest.

...in the personal and imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

... that all mankind became alienated from God by the sin of Adam. The natural man is totally depraved, abiding under the wrath of God, unable to remedy his lost condition, and in need of regeneration.

... that Jesus Christ, who was completely without sin, was able to make a full substitutionary sacrifice for our sins and is God’s only provision for the remission of our sins.

…that salvation is freely offered to all who will believe and accept it.

…that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone.

...that the Holy Spirit regenerates and instantly baptizes all believers into the body of Christ. He indwells, sanctifies, instructs, and empowers all believers for service, and seals them unto the day of redemption.

...in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust. The redeemed are raised to everlasting life and eternal joy, while the wicked suffer eternal damnation.

...that Christians have the solemn obligation to conduct themselves in a manner worthy of the gospel.

...in the sanctity of human life. We further believe that human life begins at the moment of conception and at this time God stamps His image and likeness into every human, making him/her an eternal, spiritual being. Because by design the first nine months of life must be lived inside the womb does not mean that man has the right to destroy that life, any more than he has the right to destroy a life once outside the womb for similar reasons.

...in the sanctity of marriage, which is between only one man and one woman, as ordained by God.  Husband and wife are joined together for life, as covenanted before God, and only by the death of one is the other at liberty to remarry.  The remarriage of divorced men or women, or same-sex marriages will not be performed at, or by the leaders of, Calvary Bible Fellowship.

…that the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

MISSIONS

IN MADISON

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

God has planted this local assembly in one of the most advanced and knowledgeable cities in America. Not only has He placed us here, but He has given us a mission. "To preach the gospel to everyone." We desire to fulfill this mission by sharing with a lost world our redeemer, Jesus Christ. Although Madison is on the leading edge of science and research, our joy is to watch God save people with the simplicity of the gospel.

 IN THE WORLD

Acts 1:8
...and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.

 The Haydens

Beginning their ministry on April 25th, 2000 in Slovakia, the Hayden's desire was to train future church leaders and plant new churches in Slovakia. However, God has recently guided them down a new path. They are now ministering within the U.S. with ABWE, Horizon Ministry, Grand Rapids, Michigan. They are still training future church leaders, and present church leaders around the world in their own language and cultural setting through their online curriculum programs.

The Flincks

The Flinck family arrived in the city of Antofagasta in May 2011 with the goal to start a new local church. The city is growing rapidly and there is a tremendous spiritual need in this “modern Corinth”. In June 2012, the Lord provided the funds for GMSA to purchase a mission house in Antofagasta. The Flincks moved into the house at the end of June and now have more space for the new church planting ministry. Please pray for this new church planting ministry.
